GOALS

1.In our game, the goals measure approximately 1.80 x 1.20 meters.

2.This type of goal is designed for play without a goalkeeper.

3.They are similar to those used in other countries, such as Germany, or in the recent tournament held in Mallorca.

4.This style of play requires specific rules, which are outlined in the Game Rules section.

MAIN RULES

Playing Field: The dimensions of the playing field are 50 x 30 meters, with an allowed variation of up to 5 meters per side.

Rule Nº 1
It is forbidden to get angry at the referee, the opponents, the spectators, or even one’s own teammates.

Rule Nº 2
Players are expected—and almost required—to treat the game as a fun activity, and to keep competitiveness within reasonable limits.

Rule Nº 3
Each team will consist of 7 or 8 players, as agreed upon by both teams before the start of the match.
A maximum of 6 substitutes is allowed per team.
Substitutions may be made during play: the active player must exit through the center of the field, and only then may the substitute enter through the same spot.

Rule Nº 4
There is no goalkeeper in WALKING WABOL®.

Rule Nº 5
Physical contact with other players is prohibited.

Rule Nº 6
Although in standard Barcelona WABOL only 2 touches are allowed, in this tournament each player is allowed a maximum of 3 touches when in possession of the ball.

Rule Nº 7
Running is strictly prohibited. The referee is the only one who decides whether a player is running.

Rule Nº 8
The ball may not be lifted above 1.80 meters. The referee is solely responsible for determining whether this height has been exceeded.

Rule Nº 9
Due to the absence of a goalkeeper and the size of the goal, shots on goal are restricted.
At the moment of shooting, the player must be inside the penalty area, which is clearly marked on the WABOL fields.
This area typically measures 6 x 24 meters, as shown in Diagram Nº 1.

Rule Nº 10
No defender may be closer than 1 meter to their own goal.
If a defender is within this distance and touches or blocks the ball, it will result in a penalty kick against them.

Rule Nº 11
There is no offside rule.

Rule Nº 12
Throw-ins are taken with the foot.

Rule Nº 13
With the exception of certain penalties, all fouls will be penalized with an indirect free kick.

Rule Nº 14
Penalty kicks will be taken from the center of the field, and no defender may touch the ball during the attempt.

Rule Nº 15
The referee may make mistakes, and is allowed to apply the advantage rule, as in traditional football.

Infractions Penalized with an Indirect Free Kick:
The following violations will result in an indirect free kick against the offending team:

Rule Nº 1: Unsportsmanlike conduct or aggression.

Rule Nº 6: Exceeding the touch limit.

Rule Nº 7: Running.

Rule Nº 8: Lifting the ball above 1.80 meters.

Ball
Matches will be played with a size 5 ball.
