Last Sunday, September 3, 2023, an exciting Women’s WABOL Tournament was held, organized by the Mumswabolwss WB in favor of the “PallaPupas”, at the iconic Teixonera playing fields in Barcelona.
The event had the participation of eight teams, with seven of them made up of female players and one of male players.
The remarkable thing about this competition was the equality and intensity that was experienced in the matches. Unlike other sports that tend to show the differences in strength, agility, experience and physical power, in WABOL it is not necessary, it is a sport that always levels the players on the pitch. In this exciting sport, the key lies in concentration instead of speed, and in walking instead of running. This allowed both male and female players to feel completely immersed in the game.
The tournament left the players with a desire for more, to repeat it again. This event not only promoted equality in sport, but also demonstrated that passion and the spirit of equality can be just as intense in an environment where concentration and strategy are paramount.
We look forward to the next edition of this Women’s WABOL Tournament and the emotions that it will surely bring us.
