Players may only walk; running is not allowed. The game is designed to help people stay fit and maintain an active lifestyle, regardless of age or fitness level.
It is a little like football, but slower, more relaxed and better suited to older people.

Benefits for everyone
Walking helps reduce high blood pressure, the risk of heart disease, blood sugar (diabetes), heart rate and bad cholesterol. Less fat and more muscle.
It improves mobility and strengthens the lower back, helping prevent the all-too-common back pain. The more you walk, the more you reduce stress, anxiety, depression and other symptoms, as well as lose weight.
Physical exercise has many benefits. So does walking. In Wabol®, everything is more predictable, so the potential impact is minimal.

Sessions and tournaments
We meet three times a week to play matches and mini-tournaments during each session.
Each session has an hour of play, usually with a break halfway through. We adjust breaks to the heat and how tired players feel.

Special tournaments
We also take part in international tournaments organised by other organisations, mostly along Spain’s Mediterranean coast. WABOL brings players and teams together to attend these events.
Additional cost. Participation in these tournaments is not included in WABOL. The price depends on each tournament.
